In this lesson
- See the value and state of your stock at a glance
- Record stock in, stock out, damage and returns with a reason
- Use shared inventory for items built on the same base
On this page — 4 sections
Inventory is in the sidebar and has three tabs: Stock, Reservations and Shared inventory.
The Stock tab
Four figures sit at the top: Inventory Value, Stock on Hand, Low Stock and Out of Stock. Below is every version, which you can filter by status, category and code.
Record stock in and out
Press Adjust next to the version.
Choose a direction and a reason.
In: manual, purchase, return or transfer. Out: manual adjustment, damage, loss or transfer.
Enter the quantity and the purchase price per unit.
The price is filled in from your last purchase. Sales draw from the oldest batch first, so your profit is calculated accurately.
Add a note and press Submit Adjustment.
Every change stays in that version’s History, so you always know who moved what, when and why.
Reservations
While an order is being paid for, its stock is reserved so two people can’t buy the last item at once. The Reservations tab shows what’s held.
Shared inventory
If one base item is sold as several products (a plain white T-shirt in several prints, say), create a New shared inventory and Connect variant each version to it. Every print sold then draws from that single count.
